Third Barrel started in 2016 with one question: what does a properly good Dublin beer actually taste like? Not imported. Not second-hand. Made here, poured here.

The Christchurch is where you find out. Set moments from the cathedral it's named after, on a street that's been feeding and watering Dublin since before you were born. We took an old pub, kept what mattered, and put a brewery behind the bar.

Come in off the street. Stay longer than you planned. That's what this place is for.

Three floors.
One local.

Every floor has its own character. You'll find your spot.

Ground Level

The Snug

The front of the house. Oldest part of the building. High stools, low light, the kind of corner seat you don't give up. Come in off the street and you're in it immediately — the noise, the warmth, the bar in arm's reach.

Best for: Arriving. Deciding what you want. Staying longer than planned.

The Back Room

Darker back here. Quieter. The booths were built for conversation, not performance. Couples sit back here. So do people who've had a long week. No one's going to rush you.

Best for: Long evenings. Good conversations. Not being found.

Upper Level

The Skyline

Up top: a full-length, street-facing window and the whole of High Street laid out below you. Tables for food. Views that are, frankly, unfair for a pub. Book ahead, or arrive early. People know about this one.

Best for: Dinner. Visiting friends. Showing off Dublin to people who don't live here.
